Television green-fingered legend Alan Titchmarsh will mark his 50th year as a gardener with an event at Haddon Hall.

The event, to be held with BBC Gardener’s World magazine, will give fans a chance to meet him, hear stories from his life and enjoy exclusive access to the hall.

Alan, said: “Fifty years of experience have not provided me with all the answers but I hope to encourage more people to take up the spade or the trowel by sharing the sheer pleasure I still get from growing. Horticulture matters, and as any visitor to Haddon Hall will experience, being among plants is the greatest privilege on earth.”

Tickets must be booked for this Haddon Hall event. For further details go to www.gardenersworld.com/alan-events
