A report on the members unable to attend through ill health was given by Joe Cleary, the welfare visitor.

The speaker was Mr David Rawson of Bakewell, who was introduced by Roy Garrett. Mr Rawson spoke of the work being undertaken by Bakewell Rotary for Aquabox, a charity which provides microfilter water pumps, children’s clothing, materials, buckets, cooking pans, pencils, paper and many other goods needed by communities in the Gambia and of his many experiences when visiting there. A vote of thanks was given to by Colin Walker.
