Coming off the back of claiming a point against unbeaten league leaders Cambridge United in midweek, Alfreton Town will enter Saturday’s Skrill Premier clash against Barnet in confident mood.

That draw impressively represented a third game unbeaten for the Reds, Barnet should prove another stiff test given their lofty league position and the talent they possess - however, considering the way Alfreton are playing there is no reason to suggest they can’t claim something from the contest.

Former Dutch international Edgar Davids’ side, having been relegated from the Football League last term were tipped by many to have a successful season at this level and the early indications back that view up.

The Bees currently occupy fifth spot in the division, whilst they have only been beaten once in their opening nine fixtures - although they are without a win in three.

Despite their imperious pedigree, Barnet will not relish a trip to the Impact Arena, with Alfreton having dropped just two points in their opening five home fixtures. Further to that Tuesday’s impressive performance highlights that they are more than able to mix it with the best in the division, with Alfreton causing a Cambridge side who had previously not conceded in over ten hours considerable problems.

This fixture represents the first time that the two sides have locked horns in a league contest.

Nicky Law’s side are again boosted by possessing a fully fit squad, for what should another intriguing contest.

There is no segregation in place for this fixture but visiting Barnet fans are kindly requested to enter the stadium via the Alma Street turnstiles only.
