Alcohol and raffle prizes stolen from miners’ welfare

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after burglars broke into Creswell Miners’ Welfare and stole spirits from the bar area.

During the burglary, between 7.30am on Monday, June 18 and 5pm last night (June 20), thieves also stole a Sat Nav and an ipod which were due to be raffled in aid of the Creswell Scouts group.

Two full collection tins for Help for Heroes were also taken.
