CHESTERFIELD Borough Council will be opening one of its depot car parks for the remaining home games this season.

The car park, which can take up to 70 vehicles, is located at Old Brick Works Lane near to the Crown and Anchor pub and only a few minutes walk from the B2net Stadium.

The car park will be open from 1pm – 5.30pm this coming Saturday, March 31 for the Scunthorpe game, cost of parking will be £3.

Councillor Graham King at Chesterfield Borough Council said: “Parking does cause problems for some residents around the Whittington Moor area when it’s a match day so hopefully by opening up this car park it will relieve some of these problems. We’re going to trial this for the remaining games and if it’s successful will continue the arrangement next season.”
