CHESTERFIELD will be alive with the sound of music, and comedy, and much much more when the annual arts and markets festival rolls into town.

The annual event - now in its eighth year - kicks off today and runs until Saturday with headliners including comedy chef, Hardeep Singh Kohli and Irish folk singer Cara Dillon as well as old favourites like the continental market a beer festival and the Garden of Light.

Along with ghost walks, antique valuations and a quirky sausage competitions there is something for everybody. The Derbyshire Times has pulled together a full comprehensive list of what’s taking place year so you can decide which part of the arts and market festival is for you.
