JUDGES for the East Midlands in Bloom competition have visited Chesterfield to check out the town’s floral displays.
Ken Richardson and Peter Benham inspected the parks, gardens and general greenery of the town, as part of Chesterfield’s entry into the large town category of the competition.
Judges were led around the town by Chesterfield Borough councillor Chris Ludlow visiting Tapton Park, Spire Infant School and some of the borough’s best allotments.
Mr Ludlow said: “A lot of hard work has been put in by council staff to get the town ready for the East Midland in Bloom judges”
Chesterfield will find out if the efforts were enough when the results are announced in September.
