Have your say

The Derbyshire Times needs you!

We love interacting with our loyal readers, which is why we’re calling on you to air your views on the big stories of the day via our rapidly growing website.

It really couldn’t be easier for you to give us and other readers your opinions on our online stories – so why not get involved right now – others are!

Just log on to www.derbyshiretimes.co.uk and follow these three very simple steps…

1. Scroll to the bottom of our website and, under the heading ‘home’, click ‘register’

2. Just fill in the required fields and click ‘I accept, create my account’

3. You’ll get an email sent to your inbox and it’s simply a case of clicking the link to activate your account

That registration process takes just a few seconds and once you’re a fully-fledged member you’ll be able to log in and air your views at the end of stories – think of it like a virtual letters’ page – and you can sign-up to have a daily email newsletter sent to your inbox.

We’ve just introduced a new popular feature where you can click a ‘like’ or ‘dislike’ button on other people’s comments –further boosting interactivity.

And you may find that your comments are used in the weekly paper.

Editor James Mitchinson said: “Clearly we’re doing something brilliant with our website because compared to this time last year twice as many people are using it. We’re keen for you to get involved in www.derbyshiretimes.co.uk as we really value our readers’ views on stories – and it’s important to spark healthy debates on key issues which affect everyone – day in, day out.”
