The newest police officer on Hope Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team said he is looking forward to a different challenge after moving over from Fairfield.
PC Graham Mason replaces long–serving PC Tony O’Brien, who retired at the start of the month.
Graham said he was looking forward to the challenge of focusing on crime and anti–social behaviour in a new area.
He added: “It’s a different community to the one I’ve been serving in Fairfield and it’s going to have its own challenges.
“It’s a much bigger area to cover and it’s important that we make sure everyone who lives here is safe from crime.
“Shed burglaries are the current priority for us and we’ll be heading out over the next few weeks to talk to people about their home security.”
PC Mason joins PCSO Steven Rogers and Special Constable Sidney Gill on the Hope Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team. To speak to officers about policing issues call 101.
