Aspiring Derbyshire politicians met with representatives from across the UK to voice a teenage agenda for the country at a four-day summit.
David Smith (17), Sarah Shergold (16), Emily Thorpe (15) and Emily Seales (14) joined hundreds of other young people at the annual meeting of the UK Youth Parliament at Exeter University.
The quartet, elected to Derbyshire's Youth Council in this year's Big Vote, contributed to debates on terrorism, climate change, and sex education in primary schools.
And the summit saw the launch of three national campaigns on public transport, university tuition fees and recycling.
David Smith from Chesterfield said: "I think it is important young people get a chance to voice their worries or opinions on issues that affect the places they live, and being part of the Youth Parliament gives them that chance.
"It was a lot of fun to meet all the other MYPs too and see what they think needs changing."
