Police name teen crash victim

Police have named the 17-year-old who died in hospital following a horror smash.

He was Jack Liam O'Dare of Codnor Park Ironville, who was the front seat passenger in a Citreon Saxo which collided with a tree on Hartshay Hill, Ripley, just after 10.30pm last night.

The 19-year-old driver of the car was injured and was also taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
