Derbyshire Police Authority Chairman Janet Birkin and Chief Constable Mick Creedon travelled to London yesterday to make their case against the proposed budget cap.

Mrs Birkin and Mr Creedon met with Local Government Minister John Healey and Policing Minister Vernon Coaker.

Documents supporting the case were approved by the Police Authority last week and were sent to the Department for Communities and Local Government ahead of the meeting.
