A boxer dog got more than it bargained for during a walk in the countryside with its owner.
Firefighters from Matlock were called to Back Lane, Youlgreave, where they found the animal stuck in a stone stile.

They demolished the wall and freed the pet after being contacted by its owner.

A spokewoman for the fire brigade said no request had been made for a vet to attend the scene.

Sunday's incident happened just after 4.35pm and the animal was rescued around half an hour later.
