Education chiefs from Yangpu in China met the new leaders of Derbyshire County Council.

A dozen schools from across Derbyshire are twinned with schools in Yangpu, China. 80 Derbyshire students visited their partner schools earlier this year to carry out joint curriculum projects.

The delegation from Yangpu met with Derbyshire County Council's Chairman, Cllr Robin Baldry, Council Leader, Cllr Andrew Lewer and Cabinet Member for Education, Clrr Mike Longden.

Cllr Robin Baldry said: "It was great to meet with the team from Yangpu and talk about what we might be able to do jointly together in the future."
