50 things children should do before they turn 12

Children today spend half the time their parents did outside, according to a National Trust survey.

On average, children play outside for just over four hours a week - compared to their parents who played for 8.2 hours a week.

The National Trust has drawn up a list of 50 things for children to do before they turn 12, including playing with pooh sticks, hunting for bugs and going stargazing:
