£15,000 in pledges from Ashgate Hospice Drag Race

Nearly 200 men wearing fancy dress turned out on the hottest day of the year to run the five-mile course through Chesterfield.

First home was Shaun Mills, of Chesterfield, who completed the run in 29 minutes.

Emily Evans, fundraiser at the hospice, said: “Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported them.”

There is still time for people to register for the Moonlight Miles on June 21, which will leave the Proact Stadium at 10pm. There is a ten-mile or 6.5-mile course. To register, contact the hospice on www.ashgatehospice.org or 01246 567250.
