13 vintage off-road motorbikes stolen from Derbyshire

The owner of vintage motorcycles stolen from his home has joined police in an appeal for help to trace his bikes.

In the early hours of Tuesday, April 5 thieves broke into a garage of a house at Sutton Spring Wood near Calow, Chesterfield and stole a number of off-road trials bikes manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s.

The bikes include 12 Hondas and a Kawasaki.

Two unused red Honda engines, dating from 1981, and four larges boxes of Honda spare parts were also taken.

Detective Constable Julian Hall said: “Whoever took these bikes must have been in the area for quite some time and must have planned it. The stolen property is unusual and there is a limited market for selling them on.
