Sharley girls enjoy grand day out

Sharley Park Girls U14s had a grand day out representing Derbyshire at the Tesco Cup at Manchester University.
The Clay Cross-based side played three games in the qualifying heats and were in the company of girls academies from Manchester United and Liverpool.

In their first match against Hull City, Sharley Park lost 3-0 but they rallied in their second match and went on to beat Isle of Man 1-0.

The deciding goal came from Amy Brooks.

The final game, which they needed to win to go further in the tournament, resulted in a 0-0 draw so ending their progression.
