Matlock share spoils in front of 2,300 fans

Matlock shared in a six-goal opening to the Unibond League Premier Division season on Saturday in front of more than 2,300fans.

The Gladiators took the lead in the 7th minute through Hannah - but fell behind when Wilson converted a penalty in the 16th minute and added a second goal three minutes later.

Hannah put Matlock on level terms before the interval with his second goal of the game in the 40th minute.

And Cropper gave the travelling Matlock fans hope of a great win when he netted in the 69th minute.

But the home side were not to be denied a point and Baguley struck an equaliser in the 88th minute.

Attendance: 2,344
