NEDSC staged the final of the Team of Three Championship between Grassmoor WMC and Royal British Legion.
The match started with Jonathon Hall playing for the Legion against Ian Bullimore who was giving away an individual handicap of 21 and Jonathon didn't waste any time as he settled in right from the start and with breaks of 20, 32 and 22 took the fram
e 28-80.

In the second frame it was the Legion's Scott Cooney who was giving away an individual handicap of 21 playing against Graham Jones but this time it was Scott who took the initative and with breaks of 19, 20 and 31 took the frame 25-87.

The next two frames went very much like the first two with the Legion's Dave Wilkinson beating Paul Roe 43-69 and Jonathon Hall doing the double over Ian Bullimore beating him 20-80 to win the frame and match 4-0.

The first semi-final of the John Roundtree Premier Individual Snooker Championship took place at Hasland WMC, between Scott Cooney of the Royal British Legion and 14-year-old Joel Walker of Eckington SC.

Right from the break off Joel settled in and knocked in a 27 break and followed up with breaks of 22 and 18 to take the frame 10-71.

In the second frame it was Joel once again who made breaks of 40 and 20 to take the frame 45-76 to lead 2-0.

The third frame saw Scott hit form and produce breaks of 39 and 27 to win the frame 75-0 but Joel kept up the pressure and with the help of a break of 28 took the fourth frame 33-60 to lead 3-1.

After a short interval Scott took the fifth frame 78-8 making breaks of 31 and 35 but in what turned out to be the last frame of the match Scott missed a simple blue into the centre pocket and Joel stepped up and knocked in a break of 35 to take the sixth frame 17-76 and the match by 4-2.

The second semi-final of the John Roundtree Premier took place at Hasland WMC between Jason Rimington of NEDSC and Ben Buckley of Eckington SC.

Jason made the earlier running but Ben took the last few colours to win the frame 43-53.

In the second frame with both players on 12 points each and both playing some excellent safety shots it was Ben who made an opening and compiled a break of 52 to win the frame 12-64 to lead 2-0.

The third frame started with Jason going into a 33-point lead and Ben coming back into the game with the aid of a break of 32 and then clearing the colours to win the frame 33-73 for a 3-0 lead.

After a short interval it was Jason who got his act together and with some excellent potting and safety play took the fourth frame 60-30 and followed up with the help of a 24 break to take the fifth frame 6-47 to reduce his arrears to 2-3.

In what turned out to be the last frame of the evening it was Ben who forged a head making breaks of 20, 23 and 26 to take the frame 12-71 and the match by 4-2 to make an all Eckington final.
