Back after a six-week absence, Richard Cordin brought Chris Green's winning sequence to an abrupt halt in the penultimate round of Matlock Cycling Club's Ashford five-mile time trial series.
Cordin covered the distance in 10min 58sec, the only rider on the night to go under 11 minutes, to beat Green by just five seconds.
In third place, a further 59 seconds off the pace, was Leigh Fearn, who nevertheless recorded his season's best, 12
.02.

Derby Mercury guest Mark Shardlow was 17 seconds further back in third place, while Carl Dyke claimed fourth position and first-timer David Wragg finished fifth.
