Carol service in Whaley Bridge

AN Advent Carol service will take place on Thursday December 6, at Whaley Hall, Whaley Bridge, at 7.30pm.

The event will be held in the new Abbey Church. Father Jamie McLeod said: “It has wonderful acoustics and will create a wonderful atmosphere.”

Music will be provided by Whaley Oratory Choir led by their musical director Simon Mercer. Refreshments will be served. Fund are being raised for the memorial floor and towards the re hanging of the bells in time to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of First World War in 2014.
