Young rockers get set to kick off tour

Kicking off your national tour in a town you’ve never even been to may sound like a gutsy call - but it’s the one young rockers Out For Tomorrow have made.

The south-west boys hit the road this week, with the opening show at Chesterfield’s Real Time Live.

Frontman Ben Lumber said the band couldn’t wait to get back playing live after having spent recent time writing songs for their debut album, due out early next year.

“We love to tour,” said Ben. “The build up to it is like Christmas.

“It’s always nice to discover new towns, places and faces we’ve never seen.

“There’s something special about being somewhere new with your best friends - it’s an adventure.”

Ben admitted the band had never been to Chesterfield before but added: “We’re excited to show you guys what we’re made of - and to taste your beer!”

The visit may even make its way into a new OFT song, as the band always try to write from personal experience - even if that has caused problems in the past.

“In our first EP, I wrote about people that had caused me problems in the past. I sure as hell wanted them to know the songs were about them - but I’ve learned that’s not always the best way to express yourself!” said Ben.

Out For Tomorrow play Chesterfield’s Real Time Live on Thursday, September 13.
