Big names for top rock fest

Rock legends Metallica and Black Sabbath return to Derbyshire this year for the annual Download rock fest.

This year’s event, at Donington Park from June 8 to 10, also includes appearances by The Prodigy, Biffy Clyro, Soundgarden and Electronic / Dubstep duo Chase and Status

Other acts just confirmed include Machine Head, Tenacious D and You Me At Six, PLUS Trivum, Lamb of God and DevilDriver, The Devin Townsend Project, reformed UK rockers Little Angels, thrash icons, Anthrax, as well as Ugly Kid Joe and August Burns Red.

Metallica will be headlining Saturday night at Download, performing The Black Album in its entirety, whilst the mighty Black Sabbath will be marking their hugely anticipated comeback with a headline slot on the Sunday night at the festival.

Metallica, the multi-million selling, Grammy award winning band will visit Donington for the SEVENTH time in their career, having played both Monsters of Rock and Download festivals during their epic career.

Black Sabbath performing as their original line-up - Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward - have confirmed they will return to their roots to headline the Download Festival on Sunday 10 June
