ATTACK!! prepare to storm industry

The DismissiveATTACK!!

The DismissiveATTACK!!

Chesterfield trio the

DismissiveATTACK!! are about to launch an all-out assault on the music industry.

On the back of their self-financed debut album The Art of Whispers, they attracted the attention of several labels, but in the end signed to Animal Farm Records.

Since then the band has been hard at work on their first national release ‘Mascots EP’ which was recorded in London in February of this year.

We caught up with them before they embark on their ‘Before the Label Takes Over’ Tour which will see the band play/headline at venues and festivals over the next two months before… well before the label takes over.

Reflecting on the studio experience bassist Craig said: “Going into the studio was amazing and daunting at the same time but the amount of people outside the studio was mad as the X Factor tour was practising in the studio next to us and eating in the site café with members of JLS was very surreal.”

Drummer Mark added: “Nothing like recording in a world class studio . It was intense, but hopefully the songs speak for themselves.

“The pre-release has been well received and had regular plays on BBC Introducing Sheffield, especially Mascots the title track, which will be the lead single,” said guitarist Rich Blackwell.

“We all would love it if more local people would get behind us and click like on the facebook page, see what we have to offer plus there is always a free tune to download.”

The EP and single will be out in September and you can catch the guys this weekend with two slots at the Tramlines Festival. For more on the band, free tunes and future tour dates go to www.facebook.com/thedismissiveattack
