Blues’ steward to get Royal recognition

Chesterfield FC stalwart Jeff Hall is to be honoured at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace, hosted by HRH The Duke of Cambridge, in recognition of his outstanding contribution and service to football.

The club’s match day car park steward and Blues on the Move agent will be honoured on Monday, October 7, at an event that forms part of The Football Association’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

Jeff, 73, was named as the ‘Fan of the Year’ at the first Football League awards ceremony in 2006 and was also honoured as an ‘Unsung Hero’ two years later.

Volunteers have been chosen for their outstanding contribution and service to football. HRH The Duke of Cambridge will be present in his capacity as President of The Football Association.
