SIR — On behalf of the Mayoress of Chesterfield, Mrs Shirley Boulton, and myself, through your columns I would like to sincerely thanks Morrisons supermarket on Chatsworth Road for recently allowing us to make an in-store collection for our appeal, the RSPCA Animal Centre on Spital Lane, Chesterfield.
We are most grateful to the customers of Morrisons who contributed to the £603 raised. This will assist the centre in finding permanent, loving homes for unwanted and abandoned animals.

We would also like to thank everyone who gave up their time to help with the collection.

CLLR FRED QUAYLE,

Mayor of Chesterfield.
