SIR — I am pleased that Lisa Bailey enjoyed her trip to Queen's Park (Mailbox, August 7) and that she was responsible enough to look for a rubbish bin in which to put her rubbish.
She will be pleased to know that the litter bin she found is not the only one in the park. There are litter bins adjacent to each entrance/exit and several others dotted about: for example by the children's playgrounds and the ticket office for the train. These are emptied daily and more frequently when the park is particularly busy.
In addition there are bins for cans and plastic at the Boythorpe Avenue and Park Road exits.
Lisa can rest assured that Chesterfield Borough Council takes its responsibilities for litter collection in the park seriously.
