SIR — I entirely agree with your Bewildered Motorist (Mailbox, June 25).
A few years ago, I discovered that it was impossible to proceed safely from Netto to Tesco via Lockoford Road. Yet many drivers need to attempt this manoeuvre.

I put this to the Highways' Department, and challenged them to try to go right into Tesco at a busy time of day in an ordinary hatchback, not a van.

The only thing we learn from the design of horrendous roundabouts is that we do not learn from the horrendous design of Chesterfield's roundabouts.

Godfrey H. Holmes,
Walton

perhaps the webmaster could amalgamate this with the topic to which it refers: dangerous roundabouts?
