Honour them like Dutch town did my brother

SIR — Regarding the debate on the brave VCs Fred Greaves and William Coffey.
My brother was the officer (Major) in charge of a company of men that liberated the town of Susteren in Holland from the Germans in January 1945.
Result? He had a street and a school named after him. A small statute in the school grounds concerning the liberation of the town has a copy of his signature on its base, and there is a framed photograph of him in uniform, minus his left arm, in the foyer of the school.
Fred Greaves and William Coffey were exceptionally brave men and should be honoured locally.
Cannot the people who are going to name these roads join in this debate and say if it is possible or not? And if not — why not?
GLYN EVANS,
Temple Normanton.
