SIR — Now the summer holidays are approaching and your readers are preparing to go on holiday, the Insulin Dependent Diabetes Trust (IDDT) know that going on holiday — especially abroad — is not straight forward for people with diabetes.

The added security that is now present in airports and on flights means that carrying injection devices and insulin on planes has become a big problem. IDDT can provide free information about travelling and holidays to help both children and adults with diabetes.

The holiday information pack provides tips on how to transport insulin and injection devices to other country; how to look after insulin once you are there and tips on holiday insurance. The information is clear and up-to-date.

We are happy to send out this information to your readers and they can contact IDDT on (01604) 622837, email bev@iddtinternational.org or simply visit our website www.iddtinternational.org.

BEV FREEMAN,
Campaign Manager,
Insulin Dependent Diabetes Trust.
