SIR — It seems that every Saturday night is fireworks night at Walton. Explosions rip through the night and anyone who happens to return from Iraq or Afghanistan must feel quite at home.
For those who may be thinking of locating to this area may I suggest they first purchase a stout pair of industrial strength ear muffs to save possible future claims for deafness.

If they have any pets it may be wise to first put them on valium before relocating!

Could I ask if anyone has the name and number for a 'ban fireworks' brigade, I would be extremely grateful and sign up immediately.

SHELL SHOCKED OF WALTON,

Name and address supplied.
