Compassionate women volunteers are being given a chance to help victims of domestic abuse rebuild their lives.

North East Derbyshire Women's Aid, based at Albion Road, Chesterfield, is offering a new volunteer training programme next month for individuals to become part of a rewarding support system – and earn a qualification.

The charity which has helped women and their children escape mental, violent and sexual torment has also launched sessions to help victims avoid problems in the future and pave the way for healthier future relationships.
