Saturday's home game against Wycombe launches an action-packed week at Saltergate with three games in a week.
The Wycombe match (ko 3pm) is followed by cup football on Wednesday when Chesterfield meet Grimsby again in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy (ko 7.30pm).

Then next weekend sees a derby clash against Rotherham United at Saltergate (ko 3pm).

This triple-header at Saltergate gives the Spireites a golden chance to build on their excellent start away from home which has seen them gain maximum points at Barnet and Grimsby.

But at home it has been a contrasting story with a hugely disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bury.

''Our home form is critical if we are to be successful and we have to get in the habit of winning at Saltergate,'' said Spireites manager Lee Richardson.

Looking back to Saturday's 1-0 victory at Grimsby, he said: ''It was a good result after the disappointment of the previous week. The players needed to respond after the poor show against Bury.''

Striker Jack Lester, who missed the Grimsby game with a thigh strain, faces a race against time to be fit for the Wycombe clash.

''He's got an outside chance and we'll assess him on Friday,'' said Richardson, adding: ''If he doesn't make it I would expect him to be back for the Grimsby match in midweek.''

* There are reduced prices for the Grimsby game including Quid a Kid. Admission prices are: adults £10, concessions £7, U15s £1. There has to be a result on the night with the game going straight to a penalty shoot-out if the scores are level at the end of full-time.
