CHESTERFIELD'S hopes of clinching a place in the Coca Cola League Two play-offs were dealt a blow last night.

Rivals Wycombe beat Grimsby 1-0 away from home - thanks to a Torres goal in the 19th minute - to open up a five point lead over Chesterfield for the final spot with just three games left to play.

Wycombe now have 72 points from 43 games and a goal difference of 13.

Chesterfield have 67 points from the same number of games and a goal difference of 19.
