Contract negotiations have opened with Chesterfield FC's leading marksman Jack Lester.
The frontman has a year left on his contract at Saltergate but Blues chairman Barrie Hubbard has said that talks had begun to try and come to an agreement about an extension.

Lester (33), who netted 23 times last season and retained his position as the club's player of the year said: ''I'd like to finish my career with Chesterfield if the club offers me an extension.''
