Three Chesterfield FC matches at Saltergate next season will have Friday evening kick-offs.
The Spireites home game against Shrewsbury Town will be played at Saltergate on Friday, November 14, to avoid a clash that weekend with Derby County who are at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

In addition, the game against Macclesfield Town will be played on Friday, December 12, and next year's home fixture against Bournemouth will be played on Friday, 20.

It is hoped that by switching the games to Friday, instead of the regular Saturday afternoon kick-off, that it will provide the opportunity for football fans in north Derbyshire, who do not support Chesterfield FC, to visit Saltergate and watch the Blues. All three Friday night games will kick off at 7.30pm.

Meanwhile, Chesterfield supporters are being reminded that the early bird discount period for season tickets, with reduced prices, ends at 5pm on Monday.

Fans have a last chance this weekend to buy a cut-price season ticket before normal prices apply from 1 July.

It is also the last chance for existing season ticket holders to claim their seats.

Blues finance director Alan Walters said: ''A big thank you to our loyal season ticket holders who not only continue to provide crucial revenue during the close season but have done so at similar levels to previous seasons.

''Purchasing a season ticket continues to offer substantial savings over match-day prices and is the most cost effective way of supporting the Spireites.''

Chesterfield FC usually generates around 2,000 season ticket sales and it is thought the club is on target to achieve similar figure this year.

As part of the package, season ticket holders get special offer vouchers to provide even greater value.

For the first time this year there is 50 per cent off the price of a subscription to Spireites World TV, the ultimate way of keeping in touch with the Spireites online, plus full match commentary of every Chesterfield game.

There is also another special incentive this year with the planning application for the new stadium due to be considered by Chesterfield Borough Council's planning committee on Tuesday.

The club has confirmed that existing season ticket holders will have priority in selecting their seats in the new stadium.
