Caleb Folan scored on his return to Saltergate as Premiership new boys Hull eased to victory in this pre-season friendly.


Former Spireites striker Folan scored the third goal in the 78th minute.

Hull had taken the lead after 30 minutes through Giovanni and stalwart Dean Windass made it 2-0 for the Tigers seven minutes later.

For Chesterfield, Niven hit the post near the end.

Chesterfield had triallist keeper Scott Flinders from Crystal Palace in goal.
