Wigley pub quiz team is top of the league

The Fox and Goose Inn, Wigley, made it eight wins out of nine to remain top of the Buxton Brewery Sunday Peak Quiz League.

They scored a comfortable victory by 71 points to 40 at home against the Derwentwater Arms.

The team was Sue Colls, Penny Fairs (captain), Martin Fairs, Lou Matthews and Carole Slater. Frank Gorman was question-master.

When the league resumes on January 6, the team is away at the Miner’s Standard, Winster.
