Take a gander at village pantomime

PANTOMIME is coming to Hathersage this week...oh yes it is....and this year’s presentation is Mother Goose.

The village’s pantomimers are maintaining a tradition by following a script which has been written in-house, this year by Chris and Katie Tupling.

With a strong cast from the very young to the not so young (but very experienced) there will be plenty of fun and frolics for everyone.

Join in a tale of young lovers, a scheming baron, a feisty dame, good and bad fairies, bold chocolatiers, henchmen, merry villagers, kings and queens and courtiers.

The production is co-directed by Becky Winstanley, Mel Jennings and Wendy Anthony and the musical director is Andrea Wright.

Mother Goose will be staged in Hathersage Memorial Hall from Wednesday, February 22, to Saturday, February 25, at 7.30pm with a matinee performance on the Saturday at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £6 and £5 (concessions) in advance from Mike and Diana Allen, call (01433) 650998.
