Bouquet for hospital staff
SIR — I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Chesterfield Royal Hospital in A&E, x-ray, the operating theatre and especially on CDU.
I was an inpatient for a week due to a broken leg and from the minute I entered the hospital I was given excellent care.
Despite being extremely busy at times all of the staff without exception worked calmly and professionally, demonstrating empathy and compassion throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The meals provided during my stay were well presented and tasty with a good range of choices. Every department that I attended was bright, fresh and extremely clean especially CDU where I spent the majority of my time.
So a very big thankyou to them all. Due to their excellent high standards of care I am now back home and well on the road to recovery.
