Hats off to party time!
MORE than 80 youngsters from Bakewell Scout and Guide groups enjoyed a fun-packed party featuring games, activities, food and singing.
The children from Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and Guides met in the Brigade Hall on Bath Street, Bakewell, for a New Year’s party last month.
One game required the children to attempt to ‘eat’ a big bar of chocolate whilst wearing hat, gloves and scarf.
The youngsters made their own party hats and joined in with the team games.
Mike Harrod, group Scout leader, said, “It was great to see the children enjoying themselves and very pleasing to see how well the younger and older members of both groups got on together.”
Leaders from all the Scout and Guides units helped out with running the games, serving up the food and keeping the activities going so well.
The evening ended with a group sing-song with some good traditional Scouting and Guiding ‘action’ songs.
