Car salvaged
This men are working to salvage a car out of the River Derwent after it went off the road at Artists Corner, Matlock Bath.
A passing motorist alerted emergency services upon seeing the accident, however it was Matlock Green Garage that come to the aid of the vehicle, pulling it from the river.
Managed David Wood and his team raced to the scene armed with ropes and a grappling iron.
Afterwards wet–suited David said the car was totally submerged.
He said: “We tried ropes and hooks, but in the end, I had to swim out and fasten a chain inside the vehicle. We then used two tow hooks to slowly bring the Mini 1000 up the bank.”
