Cruise ship dancer Ashlea Jade Brusby, set for her sixth tour on the Princess cruise line

Cruise ship dancer Ashlea Jade Brusby has the world at her feet as she prepares to set off on her next adventure around the globe.

Ashlea, a former pupil of Diane Bradbury Theatre Dance School in Chesterfield, is currently in Nashville, Tennessee, where she is rehearsing for her sixth tour with Princess Cruises.

She will join the Dawn Princess in February in Australia and travel to New Zealand, China, Russia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Asia, Alaska, America and Canada.

Ashlea will celebrate her birthday twice on the tour, when the cruise liner crosses the international dateline on August 30, which is her 24th birthday.

During previous travels, Ashlea, who is the daughter of Cheryl and Andy Brusby, of Claxton Close, New Whittington has:

l Gone white water rafting in New Zealand

l Swum the Great Barrier Reef

l Cuddled koalas and fed kangaroos in Australia

l Sky dived in Hawaii

l Bungee jumped off the Auckland Bridge

l Swum with sharks, stingrays and dolphins

Her gran Sheila Whitehead, of Newbridge Street, Old Whittington, said: “I love to hear of her adventures. I am very proud of her.

“From a little girl it was her dream to dance. Long live dreaming!”
