Brampton Mr R. George : Obituary
Mr R. George Brampton Mr Roy George, of Storrs Road, Brampton, Chesterfield, has died at Weston Park Hospital, aged 75. Born at Chesterfield and a resident of Storrs Road for 38 years, previously living at Brimington, he was an electrical engineer at Severn Trent Water for 32 years, prior to that employed at East Midlands Electricity Board. Mr George enjoyed walking, especially in Derbyshire and the Lake District and loved classical music and jazz. He played in the Staveley Military Band in his youth and was a member of the Terminus Bowling Club and Hardwick Probus. He leaves widow Beryl, two daughters, Karen and Suzanne, and nine grandchildren. The service is due to take place at St John's Church, Walton, on Wednesday, July 13, at 11.30am, followed by Chesterfield Crematorium at 12.30pm. All are welcome.
