Alfreton Mr R. Tebb : Obituary

Mr R. Tebb Alfreton Mr Rowland Tebb, of Wire Lane, Newton, Alfreton, has died at Walton Community Hospital, aged 89. Born in Newton and a resident of the area all his life, he served in The Army during the Second World War in Italy, Greece and North Africa, he then went on to work for British Rail for 39 years, retiring in about 1987. Mr Tebb was a family man who also enjoyed walking, horse racing and reading. The widower of Lilian, he leaves daughter Pamela and was predeceased by a son, Brian. He also leaves granddaughters Claire and Emma and five great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Funeral director: Wilkinson Bros. 12 Church Hill, Alfreton, (tel. 01773 811371).
