Woman falls from bridge

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman fell from a footbridge in the town centre.
The woman was found on the slip road to the northbound carriageway of the A61, from the town centre, at about 10.25am on Friday, May 16.

A police spokesman said the woman did not appear to have suffered life threatening injuries. She was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

The inside lane of the slip road was closed for a while following the incident.
