Generous travel agents got into their stride to raise more than £550 for the British Heart Foundation on a sponsored run.

The magnificent seven, from Ilkeston Co-op Travel, at Dronfield Civic Centre, took part in the town's annual fun run.

Their efforts boosted funds for research and care for those with heart conditions.

Travel agent Sue Rayner said: "We were inspired to help the BHF after my mother-in-law passed away after suffering a heart problem and we were determined to support this charity's wonderful work."

Staff including Sue, Louise Bond, Donna Needham, Elaine Richmond, Tammy Webb and Laura Hadfield completed the 2km circuit which was held alongside the Dronfield 10k Road Race. Colleague Julie Keeley helped with fund-raising.

The 7th Dronfield Scouts held both runs in March.

The travel agents' sponsored challenge was among a host of fund-raising activities the shop has taken on during its ongoing efforts to help BHF during 2008.
