Top ice hockey stars have been handing out cool advice to children about how to lead healthier and more active lives.

The youngsters from Hady Primary School, Chester-field, met Sheffield Steelers players Ryan Finnerty and Jonathan Phillips during an assembly and class visits.

Headteacher David Lambie said: "The players gave a presentation about how they started playing hockey and the benefits of staying active and healthy and eating fruit and vegetables."

The visit was organised by parent Racheal Hailwood whose sons Connor and Reece are Hady Primary pupils and Steelers' fans.

Ryan Finnerty, of Canada, and Jonathan Phillips, of Wales, stressed the importance of not taking drugs and also read with pupils to show how important it is to have a healthy mind and body.
