Pupils and staff from St Mary's High School will be pounding the streets in aid of a worthy cause this weekend.
As part of fund-raising efforts to support Weston Park cancer hospital in Sheffield, the school is running as 'Team St Mary's' in the Sheffield Half-marathon on Sunday, April 26.

Over 30 runners, including the head, Sean McClafferty, teachers, parents and sixth-formers will be taking part.

People can sponsor their efforts via the school website www.st-maryshigh. chesterfield.org.uk where there is a link to 'just giving'.

The school is hoping the runners' marathon efforts will raise £10,000 to help the hospital's cancer care work.
